ESSAY AND POSTER COMPETITION
The following children were awarded prizes in the Animal Protection Society’s schoolchildren’s essay and poster competition held in Christchurch on Saturday to mark animal day. Essay competition:—Open grade: Elizabeth Allo (Tauranga College). Secondary schools: Elizabeth Allo. Standards 4, 5 and 6: Jennifer Coss (Palmerston North Intermediate School). Standards 1,2 and 3: Desmond Casey (Cannington School, Cave). Poster competition:— Secondary schools; Leslie Friend (Christchurch Technical College). Standards 4, 5 and 6: Faith Anderson (Kaiata School, Greymouth). Primer classes: Brian Fryer (Dargaville Intermediate i School).
