In the case of porkers and baconers it was at the request of the United Kingdom Government, and with the concurrence of the New Zealand Pig Industry Council, that the weight ranges established in New Zealand, and which have been in operation for the last two seasons, are to be continued. The recasting of the price list, resulting in a complete overhaul of weight ranges and price differentials, especially in relation to lamb, is expected by the board to provide the right answer to settle complaints engendered by the creation during the 1951-52 seasap of price differences of Id per lb between lambs weighing up to 361 b and those ranging from 371 b to 421 b.
