BIG EARTH-MOVING MACHINE AND CARRIER CAPSIZE.—An unusual mishap at Lyttelton late yesterday afternoon. This photograph shows a new 20½-ton earth-moving machine and its 24-wheel carrier after capsizing while turning into Norwich quay. The earth-moving machine belongs to the Christchurch Drainage Board and was discharged from the overseas ship Wairimu shortly before the accident.
