HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY AT WEST MELTON
A slight debit balance, resulting from unfavourable weather affecting entries in the annual show, was reported by the president of the West Melton Horticultural Society (Mrs A. W. Langdale) at the recent annua! meeting. It was decided to hold the 1953 show at the end of February. The election of officers resulted:— patron. Mr J. K. McAlpine. M.P.; president, Mrs Langdale; vice-chairman, Mrs A. W. Hinton; secretary, Mr K. L Chambers; assistant secretary. Messrs A. W. Hinton and E. V. Chatterton; trustees, Messrs Chambers and L. A. Prouting and Mrs Langdale.
