“FLYING ROLL”

Sir,—With regard to the letters of T. Weston.and “Notes” on the “Flying Roll.” I have sought information from a recognised authority, and find that both of these correspondents have rather missed the point in the verse about the “flying roll.” This extract has a very profound meaning and a very deep significance, particularly where children are concerned. The extract shows conclusively the contemporary existence of flying carpets of ffie magic variety, this one being rolled up to keep the pattern clean. Should either of the above cor respendents seek further information I would recommend they refer to the "Arabian Nights.”—Yours, etc.. „ TOROA. October 3, 1952.
