INCUBATOR LENT TO HOSPITAL
ORDER FOR RETURN DISCUSSED (From Our Own Reporter) WAIMATE, September 9. “It seems that the order for the return of the incubator probably came from the Superintendent, Dr. J, C. McKentie, but certainly without his knowledge that it housed a baby at the time,” said the chairman of the Waimate Hospital Board (Mr G. T. Hennessy), when the board was recently discussing an incident concerning an incubator that had been on loan from the Timaru Public Hospital. The baby had been removed and the Incubator returned. Mr Hennessy said. It was an unfortunate occurrence, but Dr. McKenzie should not be criticised because of the action of a subordinate who should have told him the position.
