ADULT . EDUCATION DEPARTMENT CANTERBURY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DESIGN AND LIVING A THREE-DAY SCHOOL IN HOME _ SCIENCE. This School will be held In the M.E.D. Demonstration Room, Top Floor, M.E D Building, on Tuesday. Wednesday, and Thursday. 23rd, 24th, and 25th September. Attendance is open to all women interested and the theme should be of particular interest 'to housewives, home science teachers and students; in fact, to all women who recognise the value of planning, in the design and decoration of their homes. The programme, which will consist of morning and afternoon lectures each day has been carefully planned to deal with many aspects of the subject, including home and kitchen planning, heating and lighting, fabrics and colour for furnishings, built-in-furniture, kitchen appliances and utensils, and art in the home. The panel of lecturers includes enthusiastic experts in each of these subjects, and lectures will be illustrated with films, colour slides, equipment demonstrations, etc. Applications for a dPtailed syllabus should be made to: the Secretary Adult Education Department, Canterbury University College.
