Firs* Win For Four Years When School Boy won the Egmont-Wa-nganui Hunt Cup on the first day of the combined Hunt Clubs’ meeting at New Plymouth on Saturday, he had his first success for four years, and the second of his career. His previous success was in the Awakino Hack Handicap on the same course in March, 1948. The Rhodes Scholar gelding was the rank outsider in a field of eight on Saturday, and he returned £63 13s for a win and £9 6s 6d for a place. It was only hia second start for Mr J. Leith, a Waverley hunting enthusiast, who secured him recently for £25. He was ridden by the Wanganui apprentice. D. Grubb, whose only previous success was on High Street, when he returned £7l 7s at the Manawatu Hunt Club's meeting last month.
