FOOTBALLERS’ DRESSING ROOMS

Sir,—This season our Rugby team has played many games on South and North Hagley Parks. There are no shelters or sheds et either park where we could get changed. As girls’ basketball and hockey teams play alongside the Rugby fields, the situation is rather awkward. It is also surprising there being no shelters for the girls’ teams, either. With the ' change in weather this last weekend, we changed in the rain—and not a dry spot th put our clothes while we were playing—and came off covered in mud ana wet through, having to get back into our clean clothes. I should imagine the Rugby Union here would be financial enough to put up some shelters and possibly showers, also.—Yours, etc., RUGBY ENTHUSIAST. August 10, 1952. [Representations have been made to the City Council from time to time, said the president of the Canterbury Rugby union (Mr R. R. Masters), when this letter was referred to him.]
