FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE

FILM EXHIBITED TO FARMERS

The Department of Agriculture has almost completed showings in its Christchurch district of a film on foot-and-mouth disease. Mr A. G. Brash, veterinarian, has exhibited the film in Canterbury and the West Coast, and has been showing it in Nelson and Marlborough this week. The film has been screened to acquaint farmers with the symptoms of the disease. It describes an outbreak in the United States in 1929 and one in Mexico in 1946.
