COMMUNISM IN THE SUDAN
(Rec. 8 p.m.) KHARTOUM, May 11. The Sudan Legislative Assembly today gave the second reading to a bill intended to halt the spread of Communism in the Sudan. The bill prohibits affiliation to the World Federation of Trade Unions, and the World Peace Council. Presenting the bill to the Assembly, the Civil Secretary (Sir James Robert?on) said that international Communism was showing an interest in the Sudan. Agencies had been set up and cells established, he said.
