OBITUARY
MRS T. O. BISHOP Mrs Dorcas Louise Bishop, of Lower Hutt, widow of Mr T, O. Bishop, died at the Hutt Public Hospital on Friday. Her husband, who was the last Speaker of the Legislative Council and a prominent official for many years of employers’ organisations, died at his home on May 1. Both Mr and Mrs Bishop were very well known and greatly esteemed on the West Coast. Mrs Bishop spent her girlhood in Greymouth, and after her marriage her home for many years was at Reefton. Later the family moved to Lower Hutt. Mrs Bishop was 75 years of age.
