CARRIAGE OF FRUIT
PLEA FOR MORE SUITABLE WAGGONS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 5. More suitable waggons for the carriage of fruit were required in New Zealand, said submissions pre sented to-day by Fruit Distributors Ltd., to the Royal Commission on Railways. Mr C. R. Walker, manager of the
-ompany, said that in other countries 'ruit was carried in special railway waggons, which were either refrigerated or closed, with ample ventilation.
