COACH TO WESTERN CLUB

FORMER INTERNATIONAL PLAYER (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 22.

Stanley Eastham,' an English Association football international for four years, and ror the last two years player-coach to the Perth City Football Club, will arrive in Christchurch on May 8 to fulfil a two-year contract with the Western Association Football Club. Tlie Western Club applied to-night to the council of the New Zealand Football Association for a grant for assistance with the cost of bringing the coach to New Zealand. The application was referred to the finance committee. Mr Eastham was a member of the English amateur team which toured Australia and New Zealand in 1937.
