38 SHEEP KILLED
TRUCK RUNS INTO MOB (From Our Own Reporter) FAIRLIE. March 3. About 38 sheep were killed when a lorry owned by Mr S. Rvder. a carrier, of Fairlie, and driven by Mr J. Burborough, of Fairlie, collided with a mob of sheep near Burke’s Pass on Saturday. The lorry which was carrying a load of sheep from the Tekapo sale came on to the mob suddenly after negotiating a blind dip in the road. The driver of the truck was not injured.
