APPEAL FOR ITALIAN FLOOD VICTIMS
Early in December the Mayor Christchurch (Mr R. M. MacrariSJ M.P.) made an appeal to the peojde# Christchurch for help to those win suffered in the recent disastrous lop in the Po Valley, North Italy, fl* response had been encouraging, Mr P. P. J, Amodeo, in a stauSß yesterday. No doubt owing to the ChrWaj holidays a number had overlooked®* appeal, Mr Amodeo said. “The apf» is still open and as the Mayor sw® his statement, donations co uld be to the city treasurer. Some haveW made to me personally by well-wWK and if anyone finds it more convew* to make their contributions to me g’ stead,of the city treasurer, I would•* happy to receive them."
