OVERSEAS MEDICAL CONFERENCES

N.Z. REPRESENTED BY PHYSIOTHERAPIST (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 18. The newly-appointed charge physiotherapist at the Wellington Public Hospital (Miss P. M. H. Andrews) returned to Wellington from Sydney to-day after having represented New Zealand at three international medical conferences in Denmark and Sweden. Miss Andrews attended the inaugural meeting of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy at the second International Poliomyelitis Conference in Copenhagen and the fifth World Congress for the Welfare of Cripph-s held in Stockholm. Later, she attended the annual congress of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists in the United Kingdom. New Zealand had been appointed to a seat on the executive committee formed by the newly-established World Confederation for Physical Therapy, said Miss Andrews. Each member of the executive was given a particular branch of physical therapy to report on and the reports will be presented at the next meeting of the confederation in London next year.
