- The first and second heats of the No. 9 club race, held by the Christchurch Model Yacht Club on Victoria Lake during the week-end were sailed in a light north-east wind, and resulted:— First Heat.—D. Fleming’s Lady Bird (3min lOsec), 32min 41sec, 1; W. Schenkel's Alone (scr), 29min 48sec, 2; E. Jackson’s Peter (2min 30sec), 32min 4sec, 3; C. Muxlow’s Minka (40sec), 35min 21sec, 4; F. Grey’s Vai (2min), 38min llsec, 5. Second Heat.—Lady Bird, 31min 39sec, 1; Peter, 32min 42sec, 2; Alone, 32min 14sec, 3; Minka, 39min 15sec, 4. Points gained were: Lady Bird, 16; Peter, Alone. 8; Minka, 4; Vai, 1. The seventeenth heat of the points trophy race was sailed in a north-east wind, and resulted:— Lady Bird (6min 30sec), 46min 52sec. 1; Minka (7min 30sec), 46min 53sec, 2; B. George’s Whitewings (3min lOsec). 42min 36sec, 3; Alone (2min 50sec), 45min 39sec, 4; F. W. Grey’s Grey Nurse (Imin 30sec), 47min 19sec, 5.
