A silk New Zealand ensign which was kept for nearly 30 years in a parish church at Brockenhurst, Hampshire, is now on its way to New Zealand. It is hoped it will be accepted by a museum. There was a New Zealand general hospital at Brockenhurst in the First World War and the flag was hung in the Brockenhurst Church above a memorial tablet to 110 New Zealand servicemen who were buried in* the parish churchyard. A new flag presented by the New Zealand Government was recently installed in the church at a special service.—London, December 7.
