TRUCK OUT OF CONTROL
MISHAP ON LEWIS PASS ROAD
When its brakes failed to hold, a fully-laden motor-truck became out of control three or four miles on the' Christchurch side of the summit of the Lewis Pass road on Saturday morn, ing and ran into a bank at the side of the road. The truck, which was extensively damaged, lay. at an angle across the road, and other traffic had little room in which to nass. The driver of the truck. Mr Clifford Neil Foster, of 334 Barbadoesstreet, Christchurch, was not injured
