The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological j Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 27 hours after the time of issue, is:— Situation: a eold front is moving north-east over the South Island. Forecast: winds turning to moderate or fresh south-westerlies, with occasional showers; temperatures cool. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate to fresh westerly winds; weather cloudy, with occasional rain; temperatures moderate. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday was fine and sunny, with a light easterly wind. At midnight the sky was cloudy and a light north-west wind was blowing. The temperature was 59.3 degrees, and the barometer, at 29.841 inches (1010.5 millibars), was falling unsteadily. Rainfall for 48 hours ended 1 a.m. ..
