WORLD CRIMINAL COURT
DRAFT U.N. STATUTE PREPARED
(Rec. 7 p.m.) GENEVA. Sept. 2. A special United Nations Committee has drawn up a preliminary draft statute for establishment of the world's first International Criminal Court. A draft statute will now be sent to Governments for comment. The basis of the draft statute is that the prooosed International Criminal Court should take the place of the military tribunals of Nuremberg and Tokyo. It would be used for the trial of persons accused of crimes against peace, of war crimes, or of crimes against humanity.
