A SOLDIER-PEER IN KOREA.—Driver Cecil FitzMaurice, the new Earl of Orkney, gives the “thumbs up” sign from his Army lorry on the Korean western front He succeeded to the title recently on the death of his great-uncle, the seventh Earl. The new peer has been a regular soldier in the Royal Army Service Corps since 1939. He is applying for his discharge from the Army, and plans to visit New Zealand.
