Further Violations By U.N. Alleged
fN-Z. Press Association—Copyright) (R® 11 P m ) TOKYO, August 31. The ‘?’ day broadcast three new cbarges that the United Nations had breached the neutrality of the Kaesong zone in Korea.
On the eighth day after they broke off the truce negotiations and four days before the opening of the San Francisco conference, the Communists maintained an almost unbroken programme of charges, accusations, denunciations and demands, and did not give the faintest indication that thev intend to take up General Ridgway’s offer to resume the talks.
The North Korean leader of the Communist delegation to the talks (General Nam II) In a message to Vice-Admiral Turner Joy yesterday said: “You are indeed reckless and un' bridled violators of the agreement.”
General Nam II said that the constant violations of the Kaesong neutral zone created a “menacing atmosphere.” He alleged that an Allied plane flew over Kaesong at 2.40 am last Wednesday and dropped parachute flares.
He called the flight an “audacious, incorrigible and nm Mffl li,. action,” and demanded that’ “you Tverely the culprits.
