SALE TO NATIONAL AIRWAYS
A property at 56 Cashel street Christchurch, known as Halligan’s Garage and Service Station, has been sold by the owner. Mr M. E. S. Halligan, to the New Zealand National Airwag Corporation. The figure at which the sale was made is not known. The property was passed in at auction at £13.500 in May. It is understood the corporation will take possession of the property in about a month, and that it will be used as a terminal.
The area of the property, which Is opposite the King Edward Barracks, is 23 perches. The improvements comprise a brick garage with concrete floor, petrol store, offices, conveniences, etc., with approximately 6000 square feet of store space.
