SETTLING DOWN AT THE STERN AND NOW A HOPELESS WRECK.—This photograph, received by air mail yesterday, shows the New Zealand troopship Wahine on the reef off Masela Island, in the Arafura Sea north of Australia. The ship ran aground on August 15 and is slowly settling. At high tide the stern is covered by water.
