CENTENNIAL CHEQUES P R ESENTED-Mr W. S. Mac Gibbon, chairman of the finance committee of the Canterbury Centennial Association, receiving four cheques totalling £4870 from Mr J. L. Hay, chairman of the ,useum Trust Board, at a ceremony in Christchurch last evening. The cheques, representing the proceeds of centennial activities and a donation by the Canterbury Pilgrims’ and Early Settiers Association, had earlier been handed to Mr Hay. The money will augment the fund for extending the Canterbury Museum as a centennial memorial.
