TRAP SHOOTING
CHRISTCHURCH GUN CLUB J. F. Parkin won the Christchurch Gun Club’s championship at Sockburn. Parkin, who shot 13 birds out of the 14 off 21 yards, also received a trophy order for the optional sweepstake. F. Inwood won a shoot-off for those who shot 12 birds, to become runner-up. Next best scores were:—D. Dorreen 12. A. W. Fraser 12. S. Marston 12, N. Inwood 11, R. G. Allen 11, T. Nicholson 10, C. Booker 10. A. A. Greenwood 9. G. M. Doyle 9, C. R. Ogier 9, F. J. Rouse 9. R. A nine-bird sweepstake resulted in N. Inwood. G. M. Doyle, and T. Everett shooting eight each and dividing the prize money. F. Rouse, who shot six birds, won a first miss-out from T. Nicholson. Mr A. Prestney was the referee.
