Gay Salome is a three-year-old and is not eligible for the Avondale Stakes. My Salome, the filly engaged, is a grey two-year-old by . Pherozshah from Sally Lunn. S-» Because of its similarity with Felise, * * the name Felice has been disallowed for the two-year-old filly by Finis from Fie«>li. The filly has now been registered as Fluent. She is engaged in the Avondale Stakes on September 5. Totalizator Agency at Marton . , A sub-agency of the Feilding office of the Totalisator Agency Board will be opened at Marton on September 17 for bn, c,Bh betting. Premises have also been acquired or leased by the at several other centres to cater for postal betting, .•» but it will be some months before they are operating.—(P.A.)
