BRITISH EVEREST EXPEDITION
NEW ZEALANDER ASKKD TO JOIN WELLINGTON, August 27. Mr H. E. Riddiford, leader of the present New Zealand expedition to the Garwhal district in the Himalaya!, has been invited to join the British; Everest expedition. This information Wai received recently in a cable frotn Badrlnath, in the Indian Himalayas. ■ With three other climbers, *“£**•■ P. Hillary (Auckland), E. CW r (Christchurch), and W. G. Lowe (Bjtings), Mr Riddiford left New Zealtt® early in May. It is thought to be latW a reconnaissance trip to explore a sible route up the southern side " the mountain.
