STATEMENT BY MR NASH

MR POTTER COMMENTS (New Zealand Press Association/ AUCKLAND, August 27. “It is news to me that Mr Holland has ever ‘admitted co-operating’ with me.” said Mr T. G. Potter, president of the Trade Union Congress, to-day. He was referring to a statement by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nash) in Auckland yesterday. “It is also news that Labour has ever ‘refused to deal’ with me.” added Mr Potter. “As far as the T.U.C. and I personally are concerned, this election should be one of principles, not personalities. The congress stands for the removal of the Nationalists from the Treasury benches, and all else is secondary."
