M.C.C. DEFEATS CANADA
EASY WIN IN FIRST MATCH
(Rec. 8 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Aug. 96. The touring M.C.C. team defeated Canada by an innings and 110 runs in the first representative match between the two teams ever played in the Dominion.
Canada scored 94 in the first innings, and the MC.C. declared at eight for 306. Canada scored only 102 runs in the second inn ngs. Highest scorer for the MC.C. was M. Walford (86), and E. Scott took four for 40.
