SHIP ABANDONED IN ATLANTIC

(Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 25. All 40 members of the crew and a stowaway were rescued from the Spanish ship, Castillo Guardalest, (3688 tons), which was abandoned in the Atlantic after springing a leak. The ship was left to sink. The crew was picked up in lifeboats 600 miles north-east of Bermuda by another vessel.
