Broadcast Interrupted
A break in the land line between Dunedin and Wellington caused the broadcast speech bv the Minister of Labour (Mr W. Sullivan) in Dunedin last night to be cut off for four minutes. The address was being broadcast from 2YA, Wellington, and the Rotorua station. The break was caused by a blown fuse in the carrtor roOTn at Timaru. At the time Mr Sullivan was speaking about the waterfront strike This is the second occasion during the current election campaign on which a sneaker has been cut off through a technical fault.
