HEATED ARGUMENT INTERRUPTS RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALL TEST IN AUCKLAND.—Officials and players arguing in mid-field during Saturday s match between France and New Zealand at Carlaw Park, Auckland. The incident arose when a French player, M Martin, refused to leave the ground after being ordered off by the referee, Mr J. Griffen. The manager of the French team, Mr A. Blain (wearing coat) is seen trying to pacify angry French players. Martin is between Mr Blain and the referee, and just ’visible to the right of the referee is the French test captain, Puig-Aubert. On the left is Mr J. A. Redwood, president of the New Zealand Rugby League. Martin later left the ground reluctantly.
