EXPROPRIATION OF “LA PRENSA"
U.N. INQUIRY WANTED NEW YORK, August 4. The International Federation of Newspaper Proprietors and Editors has asked for a United Nations inquiry into the suppression of the Argentine newspaper “La Prensa.” The federation’s request was made to the United Nations Economic and Social Council. “La Prensa,” a frequent critic of the Peron regime, was expropriated by General Peron’s Government last April.
