ARMOURED CORPS’ NEW BADGE
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 3.
The newest badge to be issued to units of the New Zealand Army is now being worn by regular force and territorial members of the Royal New Zealand Armoured Corps. Members of the New Zealand Scottish will continue to wear the silver cross of St. Andrew, made of white metal. , The new badge is worn in the corps headdress which is the black beret. It is l|in and consists of a first world war type of tank and crossed lances, surrounded by a fernleaf and surmounted bv a crown. The badge is worn on a cloth diamond of green to show the association with the former Mounted Rifles. A red colouring visible through the badge represents the association with armoured units of the Second Division in the Middle East.
