Whaling In Antarctic.— The International Whaling Commission, which is to meet in Cape Town next week, will consider a proposal to reduce the number of whales which may be killed in the Antarctic. Professor B. Bergersen, the chairman, said on his arrival from Oslo that the present quota of 16,000 blue whales a y ear was “ on the high side.”—Cape Town, July 17.
