RELIABILITY TRIAL I The rear engine Renault proved its superiority of all other cars in the recent reialibility trial held by the Canterbury Car Club on Sunday, June 34th, driven by Mr J. Rushwor.h over a distance of 170 miles. This w-s a gruelling test over some of the most difficult country in North Canterbury. Many rivers and streams had to be forded, such as the Kowhai and the Waipara, and extremely difficult country to negotiate. The 7.5 h.p. Renault put up a faultless performance by winning the trial without losing a single point. This was most praiseworthy, as the Renault was the smallest tar in the competition. This performance is made possible by the rear engine drive and the Independently sprung rear axles, which eliminates wheel spin under difficult driving conditions. ■Hie power this engine develops is atomic, and the Renault has the acceleration of a big car.
