SIX WINS IN THREE WEEKS

Six wins, two seconds, and one third from 15 starts is the good record built up during the past three weeks by four horses trained at Ricca "ton by J E. Shaw for Mr J. H. Watson. Sinister in the Autumn Nursery | Handicap on the second day at Riccarton and won the Richmond Handicap : on the concluding day. These efforts were worth £475 in stakes. Open Range twice raced unsuccess-| fully at Riccarton, but in weaker com- j pany at Oamaru he won the highweight each day for stake money: totaling £360. On Saturday Open Range carried list 31b to win the Pukeuri High-Weight. Handivan, and he had won the Autumn High-Weight on the first day under lOst 81b. Detention was the only stable representative to fail to win a race, a second in the Oamaru Cup and a | third in the Tasman Stakes at Riccar-: ten being his best efforts in four starts.
