The United Nations Headquarters, in ■ cablegram to Mr Attlee, expressed deep emotion over Mr Bevin’s death. “The United Nations mourns the -oss of a great public servant who won ?eep respect for his devotion to the ideals and aims of the United Nations,” •aid the message. The cablegram was signed by the Acting Secretary-General of the United Nations (Mr Constantin Zinchenko, •f Russia).
