HANDICAP TOURNAMENT HELD

The Canterbury Basketball Association conducted a handicap tournament at the Hagley Park courts on Saturday. The tournament was run in two grades, senior and junior. The following were the winners:— Senior. —Section 1: Mataura. Section 2: Training College A. Section 3: Kakatai B. Section 4: Colombo. Section 5: Digby's A. Section 6; Sacred Heart A. Section 7: Training College B. Section 8: Halswell. Section 9: Technical. Final: Technical 7, Mataura 3. The winning team was M. Mather, M. Fisher, N. Roberts, S. Wilkins, N. Boughan, J. Fuller, E. Newey, B. Newey, and L. Graham. Junior. —Section 1: Cathedral F. Section 2: Technical sth. Section 3: Dressy Frocks. Section 4: St. Mary’s F. Section 5; Kakatai 6th. Section 6: St. Mary’s G. Section 7: Seasiders. Section 8: St. Mary’s E. Section 9: Coronet. Section 10: South Brighton. Final: St. Mary’s G 4, St. Mary's E 4. The winning teams were:—St. Mary’s 1; H. Parries, M. De Renzy, M.
