NO SUPPORT FOR MR MAGEE

(New Zealand Pre/u Association) , .WELLINGTON, April 13. The Wellington faster Carriers’ Association, in a statement to-day, said that any union "directed" by Mr T. Magee, secretary of the deregistered Wellington Drivers’ Union would not have the association’s support The statement Said Mr Magee had endeavoured to convey the impression that Wellington master carriers were in sympathy with the move to form a new union under the Trade Unions Act It added: “Master carriers cannot possibly give support to any future organisation under Mr Magee’s direction, when his former union refused to honour the conditions of the award under which the drivers operated—that is to perform driving duties as directed by the employers.”
