DAIRY-FED LAMBS
Not many, lambs have the good fortune to receive the treatment given the top-priced lots sold at Addington this week.* There were a dozen of them, and they made from 109 s Id to 119 s Id. They were motherless lambs, and when given to their owner looked very unlikely material for topping the market, but the owner lives on a dairy farm and immediately set tn work to make good lambs of them. The obvious specific was milk, and milk they had ip great quantities. At one stage the little mdb of 25 was drinking 16 gallons of milk a day. and the cost Of rearing them, with milk at standard prices; was £2 10s a head. Even at that they showed a very good profit
