Under the caption. “What’s Wrong?” a writer in the “Farmer and StockBreeder” for January 30, says, “The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board are said to be sending 5000 tons of meat to the United States on a trial basis in February. This is said to be 3 serious attempt to lay the foundation of a permanent trade in meat with North America rather than a temporary hunt for dollars. With the British meat ration down to pence it makes you think.”
