LEAD STOLEN BY YOUTHS
PARENTS ORDERED TO MAKE RESTITUTION An order was made by the Children's Court yesterday, when Mr .Raymond Ferner, S.M., presided, that the parents should pay nearly £7O as a restitution for lead stolen from the roofs of buildings by three youths. Detective-Sergeant R. S. Smith said that the youths nad climbed on to the roofs of two suburban tramway substations and pulled off lead flashings, valued at £3O and £7 10s. They had also pulled lead flashings, valued at £5 13s, from the roof of business premises in Hereford street, lead flashmgs, valued at £9. from the roof of business pranises in Manchester treet, where they damaged a skylight to the extent of £1 10s. and lead flashings. valued at £l4. from the roof of busiprwftitw to Tuam street.
