GOVERNMENT DECIDES ON EXPROPRIATION (Rec. 10 p.m.)
BUENOS AIRES. April IX The Argentine Senate to-night decided to expropriate the independent newspaper, “La Prtma.” The bill was passed by the Chamber of Deputies jea terday. n now goes to the President (GeiMmd Peron) for signature. The expropriation means that the Government will buy the* newspaper at a price still not determined. General Peron, once the • sale has been completed, is authorised to decide whether the Government will operate “La Prenaa* or liquidate it
