During the year £2O, the proceeds from a card evening, was sent to the depot, said the annual report presented to the annual meeting of the Halkett Sub-Centre of the Red Cross Society. £5 was contributed to the nurses’ war memorial in Westminster Abbey, and £5 8s for food for Britain. Forty garments and one peggy square were sent to the depot. Mrs Alex McKay was re-elected president, Mrs M. Henderson was re-elected secretary, and Miss Peggy Calder was reelected treasurer.
