ALLEGED DOPING CASE
OWNER AND TRAINER EXONERATED
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 12. The president of the Victorian Amateur Turf Club, Mr N. Robinson, and the prominent Sydney trainer and former New Zealand jockey, M. McCarten, were today exonerated by the Australian Jockey Club stewards after an enquiry into the alleged doping of the racehorse Even Flow in Sydney last month. Even Flow, however, was disqualified from the Princess Handicap, which she won, and Lady Rosetta was placed first. Serenity second, and Felaster third. In their report the stewards said they were satisfied that Robinson and McCarten had taken all proper precautions. As there was no conclusive evidence attachable to any person regarding the drug or stimulant administered to Even Flow, the stewards decided to take no action.
