MR MENZIES’
VIEW HVBART, April 11. The Prime Minister of Australia (Mr Menzies) said to-night that the news of General MacArthur’s dismissal came as a shock to Mto- , He would not indicate whether the matter had been discussed with Australia. Mr Menzies said that the replacement of General MacArthur by General Ridgway had not been discussad to his knowledge. “Whoever commands the United Nations forces in Korea will have the full support and eo-operation of Australia.”
